When you think back to lazy summer days & lemonade stands, what do you remember as the best part of the day?

For me, I loved being in the sunshine, and I loved heading to the corner store to buy penny candy. My older sister & I used to buy $1 worth of penny candies each because we knew there was no way the clerk would count them. We always did. When we discovered we got an extra piece of candy or two, we felt like we won the jackpot.

Children have a way of enjoy the simple things in life. Often we forget that feeling as we grow older. We know that we can get 10 free candies, so we feel disappointed when we only get 5. We notice what we don't have instead of what we do have.

This recipe reminds me to remember what I have, and recall how much I love eating sour candies.

The rosemary really makes this lemonade extra tangy. It's just like eating a sour gummy. I think this is the perfect lemonade for sipping in the sunshine with friends. Luckily there's just enough summer left to make the most of this recipe.

I grow lavender & rosemary in my garden, but dried herbs work just as well.

I'd love to hear what you think of this lemonade recipe. Do you like sour or do you prefer sweet lemonade?

The next lemonade recipe will be perfect for those who prefer sweeter treats.
